Yeah, I’m a mama’s boy. We all are. (Happy Mother’s Day!)

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!

Dedicating only one day of the year to moms seems silly when you think about how much you’ve given. I’ll start lobbying for ‘Mother’s Month’ or maybe even ‘Mother’s year’. What do you think? 😉

These days you celebrate Mother’s day not only as a mother, but as a grandmother to four great grand kids. You’ve always been a great mom, and your ‘grandmother-ness’ is top notch, too!

Mimi is the center of gravity!

I’m lucky to call you my mom and have been blessed with the enormous amount of love and care you’ve provided each of your children since day one.

For anyone that knows you, it’s evident that your family is your number one priority. A quick glance at your facebook page would indicate that, but I’m here to say first hand that there is no question that is the case. You bring a whole new level of meaning to ‘family first’.

This picture does a good job capturing your personality as a mother. Smiling, happy, but will take you out if you mess with my kids! (disclaimer: no one was harmed in the making of this photo (as far as I know)).

I’ve learned so much from you starting with how to be kind and caring. The golden rule of ‘treat other people how you want to be treated’ is foundational to how you raised us. Thank you for that.

You taught me the importance of creating meaningful friendships with good people. People who care as much about me as I do about them. You also helped me weed out the people who probably weren’t adding value to my life. I can hear your voice saying “honey, I don’t think you should be hanging out with those boys”. You were usually right 🙂

You also gave me a measuring stick to guide my thinking on what a great marriage should consist of. Two people who love and care immensely about one another, and that can navigate the ups and downs as a team, even when it gets challenging. Oh, and to never to bed mad at each other! You and dad showed me what life could be like if you marry your best friend. Thank you for that.

Your sense of humor probably helps being married to Dad. There’s no doubt he thinks he’s funnier, but he may be the only one that thinks that, lol. You get my vote in this category! This kind gentleman says it all.

I hope today was a great day. A day where you get to just sit back, relax, and reflect on how fuc%ing awesome of a mom you have been and continue to be.

Cheers, mom! I love you. Looking forward to our next golf outing.
